@L Clark, how much land do you have we can set you up with plenty. This was 1 clump of white ones and many more clumps to divide.

Just the standard .25 acre city lot. i think i have room for a couple patches of irises

Dezi - you are so dedicated. Dividing iris takes so much time. I, too, have lots of white iris to divide. You have so much more to dig. Thank you for bringing beauty to the hill.

@Tomatoz1 thank you. The hill is way overdue for dividing clumps. It is going to be a lot of work this year. Hopefully I can get some done tomorrow.

@llgarden, no they are mostly noids. There are a few named ones from the recent swaps. The blue with cream/white falls we have been calling undersea adventure.

The blue (light purple) standard with white falls is one that I shared. It is indeed Undersea Adventure.

De Zi, awesome. My husband had hip replacement on Thurs and my daughter can care for him, but how chaotic was it if I go by myself and what are the chances I would ones I want. Iris hoarder trying to make an informed decision

The RMG Iris swap in August fell on my husband's birthday, so I didn't make it. A friend and I went to Bob's yesterday morning, 9/04/21. Start time was 7am, but we got there at 6:30. Apparently people had shown up at 6:15, so Bob let people in early. I had 37 varieties on my wish list. I knew I'd not find everything, but happily got 15 of 37 on my list. Abby and me, Class Reunion, Class Ring, Country Sky, Dutchman's Dream, Evening Drama, Fallalery, Midnight Cry, Po No Mo, Sailors Take Warning, Sisters of Loretto, Smart Money, Spades, Stepping Out and That's All Folks.

It sounds like things got pretty well cleared out yesterday. Bob's last Facebook post was from 3pm yesterday, saying there were limited quantities of 50 varieties left. He doesn't say if he'll open again. I'd check his FB page to see what he's doing with what's left.

It had rained the day before and with the morning dew, there was a field of people trying to wipe off leaves with our jacket sleeves to dry them enough to mark with a sharpie. The shared frustration was comical! It only marginally worked, I ended up with 5 I couldn't id when I got home. I've planted the 5 in a separate bed to grow on till they bloom to id. You know what I'll be doing this weekend!

That is quite a score. Is he closing the business?

Going forward he's focusing on Van Liere introductions exclusively. He's a smart man and knew he could get us to clear out his field and pay him a dollar a fan for the privilege, lol!

I expect we will see alot of his iris blooming all over metro Denver now. There must be many hundreds of new iris being planted right now. :-)
