I have a currently non operating small spa/pool aka "spool" aka cocktail pool. The plaster isn't in great shape and the tile is outdated.I can't seem to find anybody that does full replaster work that will give me a quote to replaster this pool.
I recieved a quote for plaster repair, but I looked that up and it's more or less spreading plaster putty with a trowel which I believe I could do myself.
Because the cost may jump up with a full replaster I am wondering if I should maybe invest in a nicer surface, something like Pebble tec, or all glass tile.
The pool is small probably about 320 cubic feet. I am capable, with time, to do the chip out of the pool to prepare for a new surface, it's labor intensive work but the pool is small enough that over a couple of weeks I could get it down to the concrete. So maybe I should do that first then someone will be willing to resurface it for me possibly cheaper...
Is there many contractors that do glass tile installs or pebble tec? I would like to know of the cost, if that's a possibility.
