Help choosing washing machine

I'm looking for a washing machine that has a few features that are apparently hard to find nowadays... I'd like the following features:

top load with great agitation
can fill a tank (deep fill) with tap hot water, which is 140 degrees in my case
actually uses water... and can use non-HE detergent

I'm looking at the Speed Queen TC5, Maytag Top Load Commercial Grade Washer, and GE Commercial washer. Does anyone have any experience with these washers? If so, do they have what I want? I would also appreciate any suggestions for other models.

There's an appliance dealer in Austin TX that tests washers on a YouTube channel. The models you're considering are among them. Search for Kirk Rivas Appliance Associates. Newer machines are featured, along with some old haulaways.

Be advised that the TC5 and Maytag Commercial don't have multiple water level selections in the usual sense. Only two fill levels for each cycle (depth varies a bit per the cycle) ... approx 1/2 full default or max fill with Deep Wash option selected. Have two shirts to wash? Can't get less than 1/2 a tub fill. The GE seems to vary from one cycle to another even when setting a specific level. Rinse sometimes fills higher than the wash, and it may do a spray rinse instead of an agitated rinse unless Extra Rinse is selected which then may trigger two agitated rinses.

It's odd that manufacturers are producing toploaders nowadays that go from extremes of restricted water to too much water with no reasonable range of selections between. I read from someone in the industry who said that DOE testing is on a full capacity load without consideration for small/partial loads, so the 1/2 fill presumably is based on a full-capacity load at an HE level vs. the "deep" fill being the same load at a non-HE option.

The LG WT7305CW is Consumer Reports's top-rated agitator model. You can select "Deep Fill" to increase the amount of water used. Read the Owner's Manual linked to the webpage to see other features.

wdcruise, I just looked at the link you provided. The LG looks interesting with the agitator option instead of the impeler. The photo they had of the water level reminds me a lot of the SQ. The tub and ability to turnover articles is greater than the default Deep Fill level on the LG, and the Ex High setting on my SQ. I would be curious to know what is an actual full load in that washer. I have a 2017 analog SQ and using the reset on the water level control I can add water up to above the top row of holes. This comes in very handy when doing bedding or a full week's worth of towels. SQ discontinued the analog models, so I would be hard put to find a new machine that would give me the ability to wash as full of a load as I can now without wear and tear on the machine or the laundry articles.
