Prairie Blue Eyes has an interesting throat color. Nice group but looks like some are having a hard time opening. Weather?

Thanks for the comments. PBE is very consistent. I can count on it every year. Metaphor is a great color, one of the nicest lavenders as far as color goes. Could be taller.

The "hard time opening" issue is in part my fault. I get out early to get the pictures before the sun gets on them and they are not fully awake yet. But Chance Encounter has yet to have a flower fully open this year and it has lots of scapes and blooms. Right now it is hot, but we've had lots of cool days and nights in between, like the coming few days over Independence day weekend.
