@millworkman the photo shows a gap in the wall behind the black trim. It is not flush with sheet rock. Also the first tile on the right closest to bathroom door is creamy white. All other tiles are light grey.

Did he install the wall or was it there prior? Of prior that's not really on him unless he was paid to fix it before tiling, that is not automatic. What prep work did he do? What waterproofing system is there?

My husband is a GC. He did DensShield then tile guy did kerdi before hanging tile. My husband showed me the wall prior to tile. Level all around.

If your wall is level, it would then be the floor, wouldn't it? :)

It appears that the ridges of the mortar weren't collapsed, which would result in a poor bond and less than the required 95% mortar coverage in a wet area. That's a fail, whether he thinks it's a big deal or not.

The whiter floor tile looks the same as the one two away from it. Looks fine to me.
