New Tide with Bleach powder

As someone stated on AW, there is a new and ”improved” Tide with Bleach powder. Let us know if you find it and use it!!

Walmarts app shows my walmart has it 80 loads is 18.96 The descriotion says it is a color safe bleach and can be used in cold water and attacks even 7 days old stains.... i found the last claim humorous for some reason

That's exciting. Regarding the last claim, I think the Tide Ultra oxi powder says it can attack 14 day old stains

I talked to a Tide rep on chat today and they say it's only a packaging change and not a formula change

So then "50% more bleach power" is not true. I'm sure there is some formula change, and not for the better. If you like it, they will ruin it.

If you go to Walmart site and zoom in on the image the 50% says it's 50% more than Tide original powder. Which is good to know because Tide Original also contains bleach. Tide w/ bleach just has more I guess.

As far as I knew regular Tide powder had no bleach in it. Then there was regular Tide and a new separate product Tide with Bleach, then Tide Vivid White powder(also with bleach). Just sounds like renaming products to make people think something is new.

@Jerrod, according to the website, all Tide powders have sodium percarb and all but F/G have and activator. They are now using TAED instead of NOBS. TWB formula was changed 6-2021.

@MWJ'90, it's my understanding that NOBS is better than TAED. Although, for the life of me I can't recall the exact reason. I think the former perform in cooler water better, don't quote me on it though.:) I *think* TAED might be cheaper and knowing P&G.....

Regarding NOBS vs TAED, this chemistry company says NOBS is overall better.

At 68°F (20°C):

Sodium percarbonate + NOBS activates 100% in 1 minute.

Sodium percarbonate + TAED is 100% after 20 minutes.

Sodium Percarbonate alone is 30% after 1 minute but never becomes more active.

The hotter the temperature, the less the difference will be, and I think eventually eliminated but I'm not sure.

Pat, I'm not sure why they wouldn't. Though, I have used it and had good results.

And, yes, of course P$G would cheapen the formula. That is disappointing.
