Questions about Red Abyssinian Banana

Hello,

Would anyone be able to tell me how to improve the health of my Red Abyssinian Banana? I cannot tell if I'm over-watering or under-watering. There are a few leaves that look yellow/brown and pretty bad. Some areas of those yellow leaves are dry, and some still soft and flexible. Here is some background info:

I bought the plant on May 1st from Home Depot

I live in West Covina in an apartment on the 2nd floor. It is placed in my balcony. I estimate the sun hits it directly starting at 1pm.

Currently the summer is hot over here, with a high this week of 91°... last year the hottest it got was 105°

I am watering it about every 3 days, which is when I feel the soil has lost its moisture. I pretty much give it water so that it drains about 8oz to a pan on the floor. Every morning though, the plants leaves look like they're sweating, as they have droplets of water hanging on them.

I've given it balanced fertilizer once, about 3 weeks ago.

Here are some pics:

Am I doing something very wrong, or are the yellow leaves normal for a plant like this?

Thank you for your help and let me know if anyone has anymore questions!
