Yep. I mow them down, stick the tops in another/the same pot and wait for the stumps to grow new leaves (which they do). Also, stick the leaves---some of which will definitely fall off--into the pot. I also do not let these things bloom. The flowers are boring after the Nth macro shot and they drip sugar that attract ants as well as feed fungal and bacterial growth.
I still need to try taking some UV photos with them. Agreed that they are a fungal vulnerability. Ok! I'll give it a chop then! Have many leaf props already, so might skip on that for this one at least.
