Patty, if your plant has produced suckers, then its almost certainly not ’Marianne’ can you post a photo or two of its foliage?

My baby Marianne had several blooms, shortly after planting. That really does not sound right unless you could be too warm (in Winter) for a gallica to bloom. Is that possible?

Patty, I’m chiming in with Paul and Sheila. Something defintely seems off—suckers, few blooms. I’ve grown a number of Mariannes from 4” pots, and she invariably wants to bloom from the moment she arrives, even when she consists of one tiny but enthusiastic cane. I’ve never seen a sucker on any of my plants. Do you have pics of your plant and blooms? Carol
