I have ordered nightstands/dressers, and living room chair from Wayfair with great success. They were more beautiful in person than the picture, assembly required meant screwing on the legs, they were wrapped very well so there was no damage. I read all the reviews, return info and description several times before ordering and measured my space to their measurements to make sure they would fit. I saved the pieces in the cart until they went on sale. My DIL also ordered pieces from Wayfair that she is happy with.

Perigold is part of Wayfair.

Don’t fall for the “get it by…” or the “in stock ready to deliver”. Both of those apparently mean nothing to Wayfair and are just off the wall estimates and often not close to when you will actually receive it.

Do a search on the net for whatever you find on Perigold. I guarantee that you will find it cheaper on another site.

I have ordered several times from Wayfair, and they are reputable. However, my most recent purchase of furniture was less than ideal. It was a heavy piece that needed assembly and even though we inspected the pieces before assembling, one of the last pieces was actually damaged. (We already had like 80% of the assembly done). I called and they offered us two options-

1 to disassemble and return and get a replacement. The problem with this, although reasonable, was that disassembling was not going to be easy and we had not kept the shipping box in pristine condition. Also, very likely that the replacement was going to have some issue as well.

2- When I sent the the photo of the issue, they offered a discount. We opted for that. It's not a very noticeable blemish but it 's unacceptable for a new piece of furniture (it wasn't a scratch- it was more like a lump ).

So they are reputable, and I guess it's not unique to Wayfair but there is no real quality control with so much being imported and shipped long distances.

That said, I would probably order from them again, but less likely for furniture. ( I ordered lighting, and some pillows no issue)

Yes, I have both Perigold and Wayfair, Perigold is the one that I have a problem with, be careful of Bait and Switch

After numerous orders from Perigold I have determined that what you order is not what you get. I clearly ordered 1 box of tile and the site clearly states that you get 10 pieces per box. When I get the order, I receive 1 piece of tile and not 1 box. This has happened to me 5 times. When I go back into the site, they have changed the site, stating that tile is purchased individually. I have screen shots of when I made the order saying that the tile is purchased by the carton,

and you get 10 pieces per box and the box is X amount per box. I even ordered 2x directly through the Sales Agent asking for sure how the tile was sold Individually or by the Carton and they confirmed that it was by the carton, I have all the documentation on all my orders. So, for example, I ordered 3 cartons @ $80 PER CARTON, I would receive 3 pieces AT $80 PER PIECE. It's crazy and for sure a Bait and Switch Scam. I have even documentation that the site keeps an audit of every single change that they have made to the system. I just want what I purchased at the price that I paid for it!

I recently had a good experience with Perigold.

I ordered faux leather upholstery fabric; they sent the wrong color. Customer service was top-notch and speedy … they asked for photos, then immediately returned my money and said keep or donate the fabric.

I then ordered more fabric — it was priced well, is very nice quality, and came quickly.

FRAUD THE WORSE they are a fraud. They promote a "gold" vase on their website. I bought it, it was not gold but a washout champagne or pewter. I asked for refund and they made me pay for the shipping. WHAT? - I said - you falsely advertised something as gold when is not, and I have to oay for shipping?. I looked all over their refund policy NOWHERE it says you have to pay for shipping IF THE PRODUCT IS NOT AS IT SHOWS ON THE WEB. Beware, they are frauds and crooks

Everything I have ordered from Wayfair has been top notch and received in a timely fashion. Customer service has been A+++. I have ordered furnishings, bedding, mirrors, lamps, etc. The couple of issues I have had were handled by the best customer service ever. I am about to order from Perigold, which is owned by Wayfair. It is their "higher end" website.

How about this for Wayfair and Perigold poor customer relations. On 3 May, I ordered a coffee table from Perigold (owned by Wayfair) for $610.99. The delivery man, unpacking the box noticed it was damaged and said I should cancel the order, which i did. On 8 May, I was refunded the purchase amount. Because I wanted that coffee table, I reordered it on 10 May only to learn the price was $662.33. The reordered coffee table was delivered undamaged. Afterwards, I sent emails first to Perigold, then to Wayfair indicating I shouldn’t have to pay an additional $51.34 for canceling an order due to the coffee table being damaged upon delivery. I received an email from Perigold saying they would credit my Chase credit card for $51.34. Perigold has/did not credit my Chase credit card. I sent an email to Wayfair stating the above information. Crickets!, absolutely nothnothing from Wayfair. Needless to say neither Wayfair or Perigold will receive any business from me and Mary.

I'd agree with other users and that Perigold engages in fraudulent business practices. Buyer beware, they are not a trustworthy company. I read the return policy which clearly stated the item I was purchasing was 100% returnable. Never would have bought it other wise. The item's page also said returnable. On initiating purchase said returnable for a 3rd time. So 3site statments that said this item is returnable. It is only as you add your item to cart that a tiny message blinks and come up as you are shooting the offer off and it's far too late to do anything about the situation. This is dishonest and you can't do a thing. I am on a limited income and scrimp and save for a splurge like this and now am stuck with a nearly $300 scratchy horrible pillow that I detest and they refuse to take back. No one would want to use this ugly poor quality scratchy pillow. It feels like sand paper or a cheese grater. It serves no purpose and is not like a pillow.

They were completely unresponsive regarding their deceptive advertising practices and clearly know exactly what they are doing as their CS rep said it is repeatedly an issue. I was gearing up to buy a sofa and curtains from them that I have saved and saved for, no way at this point. I will never buy another thing from them.

Not a nice company. Shop with reliable businesses that stand by their written policies and products, not one that places deceptive marketing at the forefront of what they do. I have lost all respect for this company.
