Does look like one of the members of that complex.

Fruits appear shiny and the foliage is spade shaped, so I'd say not nigrum, since it would have dull berries ... maybe americanum or ptycanthum, but I'm not expert.

All the photos of nigrum show shiny berries, and nigrum is the closest match for leaf shape of all the Solanum species in Texas. Shiny black berries not to be confused with shiny blackberries.
