I know what you mean about some of the composites being more coarse than others. The Elkay Quartz Luxe used in their apron front sinks is the finest.

Joseph I was hoping you'd have some familiarity with the Neoroc. I'm not looking for an apron front but a regular sink. Thanks.

Has anyone installed a Neoroc sink in their kitchen?

I have installed a matte grey one and its only a year old. Then I noticed a white stain - I called Kohler and they recommended baking soda and vinegar and leaving it overnight - it actually made it worse. The sink looks fine when wet but when I dry it this stain drives me crazy. I even have the bottom racks which I removed to take this picture. The sink has a really nice rough finish that in this particular area is totally smooth. Other than this stain which drives me crazy I have been pretty happy with it. But if I had to do my kitchen again I would go for stainless steel

Thanks for the feedback. I have really been trying to avoid stainless, so your comment gives me pause.

It almost looks to me like something had been poured down the drain that caused this to look like this. Perhaps it also took the rougher finish off at that time. Just a thought......

Mine is only 8 months old but I have been happy with it (other than it being installed ”backwards”). I needed something in a pinch and it was in stock at the time. I did not want to go with stainless.

That is the exact same sink I am thinking of buying. Do you find the configuration (don't know if it is 60/40 or 70/30) a good one, and is it an adequate size? This will be my only sink, and i won't have a prep sink. Thanks.

@julieste It is 60/40 and my only sink - except in my case it is 40/60 since the contractor installed it, at least in my mind and what I am used to, backwards. It is very deep compared to what I had. I really have no complaints. Easy to clean, quiet, large enough for everything I need to do. I know a lot of folks don't like a divided sink, but I do.

Thanks for the feedback. I too am one who knows I need a divided sink and couldn't function with just a one bow sink.

I have to decided to buy this in white just wondering how yours is holding up?

I am the OP and decided against purchasing it. Instead I bought the Iron/Tones Kohler cast iron sink in white. I was afraid to get any of the quartz sinks of any brand in white and thought the dark ones would be just too much of another black hole with my soapstone counters.

I do have to say though that after using the low divide Iron/Tones I think I may have preferred this neoroc sink because of the higher divider. I don't know, but at times I do have mixed feelings about the only 4" high divide which is even lower after putting grids in the Iron/Tones.

A M - ARE YOU still happy with neoroc?

@Cagla Pekel Kanier I cannot think of one thing to complain about. Not a scratch or stain anywhere to be seen. It’s deep, quiet, easy to clean. The divide is high enough to give good separation, yet low enough to accomodate a cookie tray.

A M thank you how do you clean it? I got one in black hasnt been installed. just worried i’ll have to use mineral oil etc to keep it nice looking

@Cagla Pekel Kanier I don’t use a special cleaner and I’ve never applied mineral oil or any other treatments. Am I supposed to? lol I have a housekeeper once a week, but I’m pretty sure she doesn’t do anything special to it either.

@Cagla Pekel Kanier I didn’t choose the sink per se, rather the Blanco Silgranit I had ordered got lost in transit and this Neoroc was in stock locally and I needed a sink. So here we are almost a year and a half later… Yes, the cabinet pulls are brass They are Hickory Hardware. The drain and strainer and faucet are all Kohler brushed moderne brass.

Cagla Pekel Kanier did you get your sink in? I’m looking to buy a black one as well. Do you like it? I’m looking for one that will be durable (handle washing hot pans like cast iron cookware etc) I just don’t particularly care for the way stainless steel looks, but if I have to may just go with ss sink.

I got the Kohler white sink and love it, I use a Mr. Clean eraser to wipe it down. I have not put really hot pans in it, but it is my understanding they are rated up to 750F, I have only had it for 3 months, no stains or chips!

Hello, any updates on the Neoroc Kohler sinks as far as staining, performance, etc? I have an older black one (not sure of the brand) but it appears black is noted for developing the white film and only solution is to oil it, but never lasts where the water sits. Do these do the same? Was thinking of going with the light gray but wondering if they will do the same? We do have a water softener but does not help.

Does anyone have a neuroc sink with a hot water dispenser? I’m about to purchase the Billings Kohler sink with workstation but am worried about the boiling water.

I have had the black one 12 or more years. Absolutely hate it, it so hard to keep it clean looking. mine has a white film no matter what I do, since day one. Changing it out this month.

(My grandson bought a house and had the same sink and had the same problem.) I would not recommend.

I believe the Neoroc has a gel coat. Looks great when new but after a few years, you can get scratches or discoloration. Look for a composite sink that is solid through the thickness. Those you can sand down, polish and renew after years of use. Elkay quartz is a good one. If you are looking for a workstation I have used the Ruvati granite composite workstation and it's very well built. They are made in Italy but better priced than Kohler Neoroc which are made in Mexico.
