Hello! pendant light help

I am hoping to get some help in choosing pendant lights for kitchen island. I originally planned to use clear glass, but have concerns regarding whether or not it is a smart idea. Can someone tell me if the clear glass will be a pain to keep clean in the kitchen - over the island- with cooktop in island- also having a hood vent over the cooktop?

Yes they will be a PIA to keep clean, Also sounds like you will need some working light not just decorative, I would do something that helps get the light to the surface and easy to clean.

Thank you! I love the look of the clear glass but sure don’t want extra work!
