Need help with kitchen cabinet sizing please!

Hello,We are finalizing our kitchen design and keep going back and forth on the upper cabinets on our stove wall. One option (more symmetrical) is 24" uppers on either side, with 12" doors, followed by a 12" upper before we get to the corner (with 12" for each side of the corner cab). Another option is 24" on one side of stove hood and 36" on the other, then the corner, which would give us one bigger cabinet, but it looks disjointed. So, your expertise and ideas please...-are 12x12" doors very functional? They seem tall and skinny. I prefer a single door for ease, but 24" may bonk us in the head. We have taken Houzz advice and have almost all drawers in lowers, so uppers would be for cups, oils, etc.-any thoughts on the two options (pictured) weighing functionality and looks?P.s.-we thought about moving the stovetop left a bit but KD says that will cramp our prep space and put the countertops off balance. Many thanks!
