Really??/ My crystal ball is out for repairs . You need to post pics of the space .I dislike taupes so it would be a no for me but really I have no clue without seeing the space .

The new color is the brown or the cream? I think that the brown is too dark and maybe too orange for your other finishes, but that's a very tiny photo to make any conclusions from!

I think the white cream is going to brighten the space. I do think if you had chosen a slightly warmer tan or beige you might see a better match. But once that mustard brown is gone it will feel more fresh.
