Design Dilemma Entry

Awkward entry closet. Need suggestions

I have an awkward entry closet. its the first brown down right front of entry door. i hate that you have to get in that corner before entering to the living room.. We are installing new floors so wondering if we can do anything to make this better. ideas please!!

You might be able to knock it out & relocate it, or simply move the door to the side hall to get it out of the way, but we don't know what is behind your walls to know what can be accomplished.

Having an entry closet is practical. I don't think having all the gear right as you enter is very pleasing. I think you should just keep it.
