We are getting ready to do a major backyard project with a pool, outdoor structure and screened porch. Backyard will be totally demolished. I am worried I’m so tired of looking at it that I am missing something we should do differently. Any advice? I know the structure is probably too big, but we have large families and would love to be able to open our home for gatherings.

At first glance it looks really cool, but I would hate to have this whole outside entertainment pavilion and have to walk all the way around the pool and back to the house to go get a condiment that I forgot or to have to go to the bathroom. If you have little kids in the family, that is a long way to the bathroom. Those trips back and forth are going to get old very quickly!

Wow that looks super impressive! Maybe if there's plumbing going on for the outdoor kitchen, a half bath can go in (outdoor shower?). :-) I want to come over to your house!! Hope you have a lot of great times out there.
