Really? The Flashlight? If you've seen one, then you probably don't need one because you're not in the dark.

steve..true story..my neighbor in back says "come see my new screened in porch" ..we enjoyed it so much the sun was gone and my wooded backyard was pitch black..a little scary..she offered me a flashlight..her idea..I know my yard..almost said "I can make it" ..but it was so much easier with a flashlight..did you stay too long and need a flashlight to get to your car?..

I want to know if the batteries were included………IMO……….they are more expensive…..lol

I also want to know what hosta is in the little pot? It looks like one of my NOIDS. Is that Gabriel’s Horn??

Not sure which one is in a little pot, so I labeled the other pic. Hope that helps. Its not likely a NOID is Gabriel's Horn as its a pretty new sport of Empress Wu. It would be hard to mistake after a year or two in the ground.

No batteries and it takes 6 D Cells. Leave it to Ken to ask when I say "Don't Ask". But here's a pic anyway.

I only have Jurassic Park and Gabriel's Horn as monsters and I do have a place for them. I don't think any of the others are beyond medium.

First Dance is listed at 58 inches. I have Amalia and One Last Dance trying to swallow their neighbors and expect FD to take a large spot.

Nice additions to your garden, Steve. Marilyn has quite a few miniatures for sale. I got several after the auction we had up here at the nursery. I planted my miniatures in large pots and I will see how they do over the winter. I had Manzo however, the squirrels tossed it around after they dug it out of the pot each day so I no longer have it. However, Sugar Cookie has now been resurrected--2 tiny, tiny leaves have poked up from the soil, so maybe there's still hope for that one. Are your daylilies in bloom?

Good to know about First Dance. I wouldn't expect it to be bigger than Dancing Queen which struggles to be medium with the shade and root competition it gets here. But, Amalia and One Last Dance are pushing into large for me after 4-5 years. Still expect it to be smaller than Jurassic Park and Gabriel's Horn.

Pillows are more for decoration, but they are stuffed firmly full so I expect they are. The flashlight has already been donated to charity.

Daylily blooms are beginning to wrap up here after a month. The late bloomers just started but I need more of them. May be time to go shopping. I don't really have time to go to another forum. Your daylilies are looking good. I have blooms through August--the majority of mine will bloom in the next couple of weeks but then I have some very late blooms in August.. However, I have lots of Hanson hybrids and he specializes in late blooms. Are your miniature hostas going in pots or pots in the ground? After looking at your pics again, I just may have to replace Manzo, it was so cute but short-lived in my yard. How's your Sugar Cookie doing?

I checked out the Daylily forum. Very active at this time of year. Just so many different cultivars, most of which I don't have (or want) access to.

We had some rain on the way, so I quickly moved a few Hosta and planted Jurassic Park, Everlasting Love, Blue Tooth, Chili Fries, Electrocution, Raspberry Sorbet. Well, maybe not so quickly. The rain never really happened so I ended up watering everything I just planted.

Curly Fries and Manzo will be the only ones I keep in pots this winter. Maybe Gabriel's Wing as the spot isn't ready. Just need to move a couple daylillies and I'll get the others in the ground too.
