hi. I was wondering how kitchen window opens (up/down or to the side)?

I like how the cabinet has window to the outside. How does the kitchen window open?

    The kitchen window above the sink is stationary and does not open. Because the kitchen is open to other areas of the home, there are many other windows that do open and provide air flow to the space. That allows for the large glass panes in the window to remain stationary and provide a wider view of the outdoors.
