Pittosporum 'Ilan'

Have any of you heard of this plant?

It was given to my friend, to look after.

It had come from a florists when it changed hands.

Searching the web I can find many results, but all point to florestry wholesalers, selling it in packs of 50, 100 or more sticks of greenery.

What plant is it actually?

Any ideas?

Looks like a nutrient and/or drought challenged Pittosporum tobira. Otherwise, a relatively tough evergreen shrub in the appropriate climate. There are multiple named cultivars....

    Thanks gg.

I think you might be right with P. tobira.

You are definitely right about it being a nutrient and/or drought challenged plant. It was a plant left behind, by the previous owners of the florist shop. The too small pot it is in now is a lot bigger than the one it was in,

    P. 'ilan' apparently was developed in Israel for the florist trade, but that is all I can find out.
