@lovemycorgi z5b SE michigan: your Wildberries are beautiful! Mine were planted 3 years ago but are still on the small side.

@mazerolm_3a , thank you!! These were planted only last fall, but are in full sun until around 4p, which they seem to love. There are also some on the right side of the rock, but they become shaded around 2p; they’re not nearly as large as the ones pictured above.

I would love to try a Rainbow one like yours, but it just gets too depressing when they disappear over the winter. If you can remember, please post an update next Spring and let us know if that beauty returns. I would love to add one of those to my garden!

Wow, very nice, guys! Years back I tried one or two of the (then) new cultivars and they just didn't overwinter for me. It's a shame, as there are so many wonderful colors now. I've had better luck with plain old pink and white ones. I did try Green Twister from seed so I'll see how that goes. I've been toying with the idea of trying again with the newer ones but haven't looked too closely into it. Thanks for sharing your photos so us echinacea-deprived gardeners can enjoy lol!

@lovemycorgi: yes, I’ll definitely post an update next year. I had read that many people were having issues with newer cultivars, I’m hoping that at least one of my new varieties will come back. The other ones I’m trying are Big Kahuna and Smoothie Strawberry Mango. They’re not blooming yet.

@diggerdee: so strange that yours did not overwinter, I would have thought your zone 6 more than appropriate. Which pink and white ones do you have?

Beautiful! Like diggerdee, I have found that some of the designer cultivars aren't winter-hardy. As for my others, I've noticed a tendency for them to mutate.

Maz, so sorry I missed your question! I have White Swan, and, goodness, it was so long ago... maybe Magnus for the pink? It wasn't any fancy variety, but one of the older ones. I sowed them 20 years ago at least lol.
