White marble is traditional. I would get a cherry or mahogony table to go with the style.

I think white marble is pretty much open to most finishes. Its a neutral shade, but consider other elements and finishes to be used.

Yes, any color will go, but the darker the wood the better IMHO. I'd like to see a walnut or similar color in preference to a reddish wood.

The white flooring will provide a clean pallet and openness, but would like to suggest that you stick to warmer, honey'd tones for the wood flooring in the dining area. Think this would keep the overall "canvas" neutral enough to work in other colors/textures and still keep it open & flowing. Best of luck!
