I’d start by possibly extending the porch across the front of the home.
Remove the shutters. And update the lighting.
You can do a new door if the budget allows. Otherwise paint.
Paint the garage door to match as well.
And then landscape away!!

Id remove the railing. Think opening it up will make it more welcoming.
Put foundation plantings under the windows and some low flowers along the deck.
Paint all brown trim white
Paint Garage door white or house color.

Remove the shutters and the deck railing. Change out the Victorian front door to a traditional one.

Paint the trim around the windows white and paint the garage door white or match the siding, if you can.

Plant a few small bushes and reduce the long leader to the left of the deck.

If the siding behind the shutters has not faded to the same shade as the exposed siding, you won't want to remove them. However, you could paint them and the garage door white to neutralize the house a bit.. Enlarge all the lantern lights to be 1/3 of the front door's height, and change the Victorian door for a solid one. Put larger house numbers above the garage door. Decorate the deck with a seating area and pots of plants for color, interest and an invitation to the home. If you have or want plants, they could be from, or move to, your own home after the sale. Water and fertilize the lawn appropriately. Let the new owners do major landscaping.

My suggestion is to talk to your real estate agent that will be representing you in the sale. He/she may tell you not to do anything, other than some minimal landscaping...maybe some colorful potted plants on the porch.

Can you paint or replace the long long downspout so it isn’t so obvious? The front door is a bit fussy for a simple cottage. Consider some flowering shrubs along the front deck. Are the street numbers visible from the road?

To echo above. Start by talking with a realtor... That said, easy updates would be to paint all the brown trim white, remove the handrails, then stain the deck a mid grey. Then some foundation plantings (not right up against the house though) or a small tree like a crape myrtle depending on where you are.

Grey is great for the deck because its a natural color for wood. I don't love it on the shutters against butter yellow. I love the idea of plum on the door- if that maybe black shutters?

Can you unscrew one set of shutters to see what the vinyl looks like? 'It would be better off without the shutters.

If you do keep the shutters, maybe do them in dark brown like the gutters. Here is a mock-up with a purple (Peerage) door.
