though if the buds are there.. that probably isnt an issue ...

be patient ... it either will .. or it wont.. and there is nothing for you to do about it ... except let us know when it does ...

Such a crazy year for temps! Many of my shrubs that bloom profusely in the past, simply said, "Naw, not this year." On the other hand, my saucer magnolia which often races to bloom in very early spring only to get crushed by a late cold snap, bloomed so much due to the long cold weather well into May that kept its little buds tightly closed until hot weather arrived for good, I literally had to get my snow shovel out and shovel up the fallen blossoms.

Those are not buds, they're unripe berries, so it must have had flowers. You just missed them.

Seriously? I don't know how that could have happened since I watch for them all summer. Plus, my porch is not far from them and you can really smell them when they're in bloom. Odd...I had no idea they got berries but then once the blooms are done, I don't pay attention to them. Well, that's depressing....
