A first time ever VT and a couple others just getting started

VT Bridal Lilac. I got it from Celeste a year or so later than the others. So glad I did.

Coral Majority still cranking them out, though the buds are getting sparse now.

Olallie Autumn Gold. Another extra late, just getting started

So Lovely still going strong

VT RR Red, also just getting going.

the last Laura Harwood of the year from just a few days ago.

Still have all the other VTs , Orchid Corsage and Royal Occasion cranking out a huge amount of blooms as well.

Those are pretty. So late too. I have a couple still blooming, but am just buds away from being over. I like that vt Bridal Lilac in particular. What are your temperatures like in August? Do the VT hold up in high heat for you?..................Maryl

Average temperatures in Aug. is 87; however we often get 90 degree weather. However, right now we are getting weather right around 80 with low humidity!!!!!!!! Love it!

The VTs hold up very well in the heat and humidity in spite of the fact that they are bred in VT. I suspect it has to do with the fact that they are close to the species daylily.

I like Vt Lilac. There is always a place in the garden for some simpler blooms like the VTs, they add needed contrast in the gardens.

VT Bridal Lilac is my favorite, Brad. I love how Laura puts out so many blooms and blooms so long. It was still blooming here today.
