Well, the black finish has to relate to something else in the kitchen, and from your pic, I don’t see one thing black. I can’t tell from your pic what the counter color is. I would stick with polished chrome (what you called ”silver”). Also, I think you meant a water dispenser when you said ”water spigot”. It will help you when shopping for these fixtures to use consistent names.

Thanks, all! It would be my dream to replace the drawer pulls with black but we have SO many in our kitchen it really seems like such a needless and large expense since they’re in perfect condition. I definitely would like to incorporate more black and “ drama” into what is now a pretty bland palette imo so this gives me some ideas of how to do that most effectively.

I'm sorry to say that I agree with others that just a black faucet will not relate to the rest of the kitchen (from what we can see). I really like what you already have because it feels very organic and cohesive. If you do really want to make the change, I would bit the bullet and do all of the cabinet hardare, light fixtures, and faucet.

But rather than introducing black in this kitchen, what about switching to a warmer metal choice, champagne gold or brass? Those finishes would work with the stainless, the (brushed nickel?) pulls and the general warm tones of the kitchen. Then add an updated white or clear glass gold/brass light fixture.

I would probably go with oil rubbed bronze, not black, but I agree that you would need some other things in ORB or dark brown so it makes sense.
