That article sounds like more theory than reality. From my research, the guys in the automotive paintless dent removal business, who should know more than anyone, won't touch stainless steel appliances because they can't. Too bad, because one could make a fortune at ten minutes and five hundred bucks at a time.

I've gotten dents out of stainless steel sinks with a wood block and a hammer. Wasn't perfect, but was acceptable. I'd go old school on the pictured dent with clamps and blocking if accessible enough.

Just wanted to say years ago I used the dry ice method mentioned in the link from Sharon. A golf ball hit my car door and left a dent. Someone suggested the dry ice, so I went to the hardware store. A guy there taped a piece of dry ice to the dent for me. It actually worked pretty well. I could still see where the dent was but had to look hard. in my case the dent in the car was small (about the size of a quarter), round and smooth.

Following. I have 3 small dents in my stainless fridge. We have no idea where they came from. I’m wondering if the dry ice works!
