It seems to work most consistently of you add the photo to the comments. Try again :-)

If it still wont post, the image is probably too large. houzz seems to only deal with smaller images (eg, in the 640x480 and couple-hundred-thousand bytes range).

Are you seeing the photo in the post but it disappears when you press submit? If so wait until the pic is fully resolved before entering. Failing that it is not unknown to get an id from a good description.

Canna lilies ARE cannas :-) Why they add 'lily' onto the common name is anyone's guess, as they aren't related to lilies at all. They are most closely related to gingers and bananas.

So they are edible? Flowers and other parts?

Yes, they are edible but it is primarily the tubers that are consumed.
