I’ve recently had some soil and mulch installed and now have a mystery flower sprouting in that area. It looks like some kind of bulb, but I’m in an area of the US that doesn’t typically use fall-blooming bulb flowers - Nebraska zone 5b. At first I thought it might be wood lilies, but don‘t those usually fry in direct sunlight?

Photo attached. The plant is in full sun 8+ hours a day, no watering aside from what the rain does. The previous planting included naked ladies bulbs (ew) but this looks nothing like that plant.
