Have the garage doors match the siding. They are not a design feature, no need to draw attention to them. I like the ones with a row of windows across the top (no grilles). Try the shutters the taupey/beige of your trim. And actually shutters do not belong on the double window, maybe remove them on that section. I would do a nice blue for the front door. The other door should match the shutters.

Have you considered removing the shutters or can you just paint them to save money? I’d at least remove the ones on the middle window and perhaps increase the landscaping there for more impact.

In regards to a color scheme, I like the look below and let the lovely stone stand out. I don’t think there is a need for garage doors to blend in as they are not on front of house and think a slight contrast will be more interesting and you could add some nice lanterns.

I agree that the double windows should not have shutters. Try the others without shutters to see if you like the look. You could do just the windows on the stone portion of the house.

I think a brown would be fine for the garage door. That way you can get a factory finish. I also agree ones with windows would look better. It isn't facing the street, so it won't become a focal point. But normally garage doors are the same as the siding for less emphasis.

At any rate, I think the shutters would look good in a soft medium brown. If you do them only on the stone portion, you could go white. I would get raise panel or shaker style shutters. I would also paint the trim on the front porch white. Paint the secondary door the same color as the siding. Pick a fun color for the front door.

I also think you could plant a red twig variegated dogwood on one side of the double windows, then two or tree azaleas, the a pee gee hydrangea on the other side of the double window. A crape myrtle would look good between the two garage windows with more azaleas and mountain laurels.

I would have the garage doors same color of your siding so they bled with home.

Beef up the posts at the doors. They look a little skinny.

Ditto...just put shutters on stone exterior. Paint the clapboard white first. See how it looks next to the stucco as is.

Thanks for all the ideas and feedback - very helpful!Regarding removing the shutters from the stucco part, makes sense, however I wish we had gotten a darker outline/trim with the windows to sort of offset the light colors of tan & white. Not sure I can do what without a full new window install. With just the white on tan stucco, I feel like it will look like too much ‘empty’ space. Any thoughts?

If you feel the stucco portion will seem bare, use window boxes painted to match the shutters. Definitely beef up and square up the porch posts. They look anemic next to the heavy stone and don't appear capable of supporting the shed roofs they're under. I would paint the stucco to match one of the mid-range stones, then the siding can stay the same as you progress from dark to lighter on the sections of the home. Either match the garage door to the new stucco color or to the siding color. Then get to work on the landscaping. The stumpy mushroom bushes are doing nothing for the home's curb appeal.
