Do you have some more photos? Where is the rest of the kitchen, does it open to other rooms? What are you thinking of painting? What is your budget? Have you considered putting in super bright bulbs to add some light to the space. It appears very dark on my monitor. What color you like? What is the style of your home? What other colors are you using? I would clear off your countertop so we can see if there is a mini splash already. If there is you might want to remove that and then find a tile you like to go against the wall that might look nice with the granite.

About our kitchen , our main goal is getting away from the cabinet color we have now and change to something light , but we don’t want to have to change the granite top for budgeting reasons , but it’s also setting limits for our options for the cabinet colors. Our home is basic and traditional since it is a new home that look like like everyone else in the neighborhood so we are changing things up slowly. We want to go more contemporary, minimalist style . Light , earth tones would be ideal . I will try to take some better Pictures after I clean up the kitchen . 😂

This is similar to something in my head , the soft color maybe goes with our counter top . I want to stay away from white kitchen as well because it seems just too popular now .

I’m pretty sure that professionally repainting your cabinetry would cost a lot more than replacing the countertops.
