2 thoughts:
One- I agree, that if you paint. I’d do black.
Or a blue.
And 2- what if you left the door wood and painted the storm door. And possibly the trim black instead, and removed the shutters.
I’m suggesting this because I think the wood is beautiful but that shade just doesn’t work next to the brick.

Very pretty house. I like it just as it is, except for the doors. Marylee above posted some colors for the door. Any of the first three would look great on your door. I would pick no.2 circle. You should be able to find a color similar to that at most paint stores. Your house actually looks great with shutters, so I would not be removing them. Some think all shutters need to be removed, but, some houses, do look much nicer with shutters.

Cat_ky are you suggesting the stained glass color? Was thinking black, but I like that softer tone.

Yes thats the one. I think it looks great with brick the color of yours. I just redid exteriors of all my doors. I picked a real turquoise, actually color matched to Rustoleum spray can paint, called seaside. It makes a difference. My doors actually look happy now. They were a darker rusty type red before.

OK, tried black paint and it looks bleak. Need color and/or lightness. Lots of red doors in neighborhood and some medium dark greens. Would beige be out the question? Red is safe. All ideas are welcomed!
