light flooring - please urgent help needed!

Hi Flooring Experts ! We got our white oak flooring installed about 1 month ago and it is now time to stain. We are looking for a very light colored wood for a contemporary vibe but can’t figure out the stain. Here are a few inspiration pictures as well as my stains and current flooring. The Country White is close but slightly too white. I think it needs to have more Golden in it. Maybe 3/4 country white and 1/4 natural? My installer will come to put down more sample stains but I want to make sure we nail it right. Does anyone have suggestions??

Your inspirational pictures are very white. You can do 2 or 3 coats of nordicseal as an option (last pic).

Another option is to do a white reactive stain and then a white oil over it (first pic).

@G&S floor Service, will 50% country white/50% natural look like Nordic seal? Does it make sense that my flooring guy is saying if I want 2 coats of Nordic seal, it would be an upgrade?

No, the mix will not look like Nordicseal. Nordicseal is much whiter. Regarding cost of Nordicseal, you will need to review your quote to see how many coats was quoted, 1 or 2. Depending on the look you are trying to achieve, 1 coat maybe enough. You can always add on the second if, you want a lighter color.

Hi! Thanks for your help! I was quoted for 1 stain and 3 coats of water based finished. Do you think I could get away with 2 stain and 2 finish or do you always recommend 3? Another question I have for you is that we kept the top floor as is with red oak. Do you have a stain suggestion for top floor that may match the Nordic seal on bottom floor?

For residential, two coats of traffic hd is more than enough.

for the red oak floors, if, it is fairly new , one coat of ciranova pink blocker is enough. if it is more than 15 years old, use two coats of pink blocker then apply nordicseal afterwards.

Hi @ G&S Floor Service, another question I have is that my contractor also showed us a stain that was 50% country white and 50% paint thinner also 2 parts country white with 1 part paint thinner to make country white less saturated. Do you think this is an okay option? Please see this image. On the left is 1 coat of Nordic.

Hi G&S Floor Service! My installer did 2 coats of Nordic Seal today. 1 coat in the morning and 1 coat in the afternoon. They're supposed to start the finish tomorrow morning and it is Bona MEGA clear. Do you think there is any major issue with this?
