Very easy, you allow the number of inches you need for the return to the wall. When fabricating, you may have to make the return an inch or so shorter than the overall treatment (depending on rod you are installing on) - you can put an eye hook either on the wall or on the rod (whether you are going over or under the rod) and simply insert a drapery pin and hook onto the eye. Really easy and it prevents seeing the hardware from the side - much cleaner look.
