Some hydrangeas make beautiful long lasting bouquets. It seems to depend on the variety and in my garden two of the best are Klaus Perfecta and Nikko Blue. Klaus starts out blue and ages to a fabulous blue green to green. Klaus grows and blooms profusely in part shade to almost full shade and dries beautifully for wreaths or dry arrangements. It lasts for weeks in the vase.

Nikko starts out light blue and ages to a deep cobalt blue. Nikko does not last more than a week or two but stays looking fresh for days and days. It will dry but not as easily as Klaus. I cut and hang then stems up to dry.

Here are a couple of bouquets that I moved to the back porch to shoot these pics. I keep one on the kitchen table and another on the counter and smile every time I walk into the room.
