It was outside on back porch. Shaded through part of day, does get some more sun around 6ish pm or so I'd say. I haven't done much since I got it besides hang it and has been watered once. Needs watered again or soon but wanted to make sure what was wrong to not further damage. I brought it inside yesterday when I noticed the spots. I'm not sure where it is from. Thank you!

when bringing home a new plant.. consider it was probably grown in a greenhouse ... and any direct sun is not going to be a great thing .. though evening light is obviously not as bad as hot mid day sun ..

and also understand that you have a lot of plant.. in what looks like a smallish pot .. so watering could be an issue .. especially in the sun ...

when bringing home a new plant ... let it adjust.. harden off to new plant culture variables ... and then slowly move it where you want it... one stress at a time .. letting it get over the first.. before you start changing the next ...

inside is probably the best bet .. unless you can hang it in full bright shade ...

I bought some ages ago and they called it Bolivian Jew. FYI, this stuff roots very easily. Take cuttings with a healthy stem, remove a few lower leaves from the cuttings, then push the stems into barely moistened potting mix (if it's too damp, make a small hole first). Once all the cuttings are in, you can water it.
