shower curtain

Looking for shower curtain recommendations. Still need to install floor, but vanity and mirror are installed. I've tried white with ruffles or polka dots but they seem too girly. Not a fan of waffle curtains.

Try a stripe curtain or an ombre (light at top and gradually gets darker. Height are too feminine.

    Try a white linen curtain.

Sorry but how did you install the vanity without the floor being done? As for a shower curtain I actully don't like them is this for a tub/ shower or just a shower , maybe a pic of the space once it is done would be helpful.

Love your vanity! You've chosen great looking elements. Pottery Barn has some great looking prints. Online anyway. Haven't seen the quality up close. If you can't find what you like in the retail market, have you thought of having one made in a fabric you love? It's a simple curtain that needs a liner. You can get a double rod if that simplifies things.

Something Art Deco might be interesting.

Or Craftsman. Etsy has so many unique shower curtain.

Trying to give advice to someone without posting pictures is very difficult.

Why not post a picture of the room and maybe you will get useful help.

I can take pics but installers did an awful job so walls around vanity need repair. Also they didn’t float so floor is uneven.

Colors and designs should flow from room to room. Without knowing anything more than you have an off white cabinet and dark flooring we are somehow supposed to know what colors make your heart sing and what styles you love?

The flooring in the house is bath beige but can’t afford to replace all now. Love simple neutrals and most furniture is cream, black or white washed

looks lovely so far. If you like simple neutrals- maybe something with texture, but a little more refined. Or add a little contrast via light and dark while maintaining a neutral palette

It looks like lther than the floor you chose neutral, soft elements. not sure how much ckntrast you want, but ljnen curtain maybe black S rings, a neutral piece of art, dependkng kn where it is hung can help add or balance the lightness and darkness. charcoal frame, vs beige/gold frame. As other readers have said, it would help if you had actual pictures- wall color, layout layout, etc.

maybe a linen shower curtain with a bit of texture or incorporates black. Stripes are very gender neutral. If your ok with just a little femininity- maybe something like this black one.

Everything chosen is pretty neutral. You need a pop of color. What color are the walls?

    I love neutrals.

You can totally stay neutral with your shower curtain if you want. Tone on tone neutral rooms can look effortlessly chic if they have texture and dimension. Also, low contrast palettes (whether dark or light colours) will make a room look more spacious than one with high contrast. Did you have an inspo pic for your bathroom? Just wondering about the hex tile floor. Wouldn't have been my first tile shape choice with your vanity and mirror.

This is my inspiration. My floor isn’t done yet and I looked at white hexagon but didn’t love. Well I can’t post pic for some reason.

Love black floral curtain. Tried acrylic shower rod with gold hooks but it sags. Ordered black rod to use with gold hooks. Here’s inspiration pic and shower pic

    Here is pic of hooks.

Not a pro. Imo, the hexagon shape feels a tad too modern next to your vanity which has classic lines (echos of Gustavian details). If the grout matches the Hex tile colour, the shape won't be as pronounced. Still, I'd be more tempted by a herringbone or brick pattern for your floor. Your inspo pic might convince me otherwise. The site can be glitchy with pics, especially when trying to add them to the original post or comment.

ETA: Just saw your inspo pic. That bathroom doesn't have the same style vibe as your vanity and mirror. Is there a need to change the current floor? From the glimpse we see, it seems a better fit than the hex tile.

ETA2: I wouldn't go with a black shower curtain rod. I'd stick to a warmer tone. Unless you have other touches of black in the room?

I used to have a similar situation in a house I

once owned. I placed the rod higher so it wouldn't keep slipping down. The top of tile helped keep it up.

I already have the hooks and had chrome curtain rod so that didn’t match. The acrylic sags and the one gold rod I got looked glittery. Husband doesn’t want the kind that drills into tile so I’m stuck with tension rod options. The flooring options are flexible. My concern with white is that the vanity top is almost off white and the baseboards are cream with a yellow undertone. Love idea of herringbone for floor and considered this but not sure of wood tones. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Lifeproof-Biscayne-Oak-4-72-in-W-x-28-35-in-L-Herringbone-Luxury-Vinyl-Plank-Flooring-22-31-sq-ft-case-I124513L/303336780

I also put my tension rod above the tile.

Any suggestions besides chrome or black

    Only other option is bronze.

I suggest brushed nickel if you don't want black. you can mix metals, it's fine. look for curved rods, they help keep the curtain from "sucking in" while taking a shower and make the interior space just a little bit bigger too.

as for the curtain, maybe teal or navy, in a fabric that has a nice texture (rather than a pattern)? like this one or this one from The Company Store.

instead of clear plastic lining, use white polyester. you can wash it so easily, and reuse it for a very long time. if the hem gets a little moldy, soak in bleach. so easy.

Simple Madison Park curtain that comes in a variety of colors.. You could take the pop of color from the accent color of the curtain and use it for accessories. There is a bit of texture there too.

I looked at the herringbone floor idea. I like the hexagon tiles you posted initially. I think the herringbone clashes with your beautiful vanity choice. I like Jennifer’s shower curtain idea if you’re going very feminine.

Ok thx. All these suggestions have my head spinning. If I do black floor then I can do black rod.

I feel like the hexagon shape is similar to the mirror shape enough, but you could also possibly go with an arabesque shape, maybe in a darker, greyer or more brown version as your vanity. There are even some drool worthy floor tiles that have gold borders around them, but idk how timeless that is. I’m no expert! However, the tile you picked out can work too, just need to balance it with other charcoal/black items :-)

If you are really out of sorts, I say…. buy a few curtains and rings that you like and see how the work, you can always return it! Sometimes you dont know until you see it IRL.

Use a brushed gold rather then polished gold. You can get the mounted rod and place it above the tile.

Brushed brass, atleast its in the gold family. Not sure what you are choosing for your faucet, but you can match to that color as well. Although i feel like matching all the fixtures would look nice.
