We had thought of that.. but they are too high. They are sitting on pedestals drawers.
Both my husband and I are really tall and I have a bad back, so we need to keep them .

2) In the last few laundry rooms I have renovated, I have eliminated the sink. Reason: Most laundries, like yours, are space-starved and clients say they really don't need the sink. For you on the taller side, that sink looks extremely short also. Yes, you might use it, but could you use a nearby sink? Would you not rather have the space for storage. Paying someone to simply remove the sink will be a lot less expensive than moving it.

This is one I saw for storage ideas … you could look online or at a local Restore for a free or cheap cabinet. Add shelves, paint if needed, look on Youtube for installation tutorials.

Those came up at the top, there are limitless pages of others. Look through and I think you’ll get some good ideas. :)

You both must have really bad backs if you use that sink which is really so low. I have the same set up and have a proper kitchen sink with a kitchen cabinet in the middle. It has a cupboard underneath for storage.

Jinx has given you some awesome ideas! I love the last photo with cabinets and open shelving above the washer/dryer. I even love the cover for the utility sink. Would definitely use this as inspiration for your laundry room.

Some questions:

1- would you use the sink if it were raised up to a comfortable height?

2- will your budget run to adding an open shelf for laundry baskets?

3- would hanging up the ironing board and other tools currently on the floor suit your back?
