Welcome to the wacky world of unstable hosta mutations. Before you panic, wait and see what happens next year, it COULD be streaky again but it may very well leaf out medio-variegated.

I will look forward to seeing what it does next year and I’m hoping it will come up streaky!!! I have plenty of medios already... this is one of the few times I’ve bought a plant for its name. Another being Get Nekkid, which cracks me up.

Aha, so yours looks basically like mine.... And I like your term ’medio-streaky’, which seems accurate. I think Rainbow’s End might also be characterized that way

Steve and windy you should consider sending your photos to the hosta library so there is more than one photo.

Good idea, Debra... and I think Steve's photo - that last one, above, would be a good candidate. It's better quality, and his plant is more mature than mine.

The places that sell this hosta have pictures online which look nothing like what both of you have posted. It's a nice plant, very interesting. Doug's hostas do very well in my garden too.

I think the other online photos are representative of other stages of growth/maturity. Mine is still young and it comes up with less distinctive markings. I expect it will form a more narrow streaky line as it matures like what I see online. Here's a pic with the second flush forming on June 9th, same plant.
