What is the counter material ? If it is quartz it cannot go behind the range . and IMO all the same backspalsh is a much nicer look that an accent wall behind a range and especailly where it looks like you are planning a custom hood too. IMO overkill

stacked selection is really nice for your space. you could put it in all areas in question. Its got enough subtle detail. Nice look.

I really like the stacked tile and would not make behind the stove a focal point; my opinion.

The material behind the stove is granite.

I guess that’s my other dilemma what should I do with the range hood. Plaster it white? Plaster Black. White Oak? White with white oak strip along the bottom. White or black with a brass strip?

Should I have that piece behind the stove removed?

@Patricia Colwell Consulting - why no quartz behind stove? I have read that once before in a houzz forum but conversations with kitchen peeps have said it is ok.
