Your windows should match the style of your house. You need to determine what the architecture requires. Also, do you want the windows to match the existing windows or is that unimportant to you?

What do you mean floor to ceiling? That is not what I see in the picture, but are those the windows you are replacing?

A double hung window with no grids would look like this marked in red:

Take an outside photo. Front and back of house. Both

The first backyard photo is living room and photo directly avove is family room. this is a one and a half story home.

No need to add grids to the windows at the back of your house. You enjoy the view, and grids would obstruct that lovely landscape.

So I see the windows in the front and back of the house are different but consistent.

It looks like the current back windows have an awning on the top. For that one large window, do you open the awnings? If not you could do just one piece of glass.

They just have gutters, bo awnings in back. They just go up to the top, no awning
