Hi folks, my contractor installed granite BBQ punter top. during i stallation the granite cracked alongside the sink (Sink is granite as well flushed to the counter top). he wants to convince me to accept it glued! what do you think? the counter top is 2m x 70cm (one peice)

That's really too bad, but why would he think you should accept this? I wouldn't, even if he gave it to me for free. Hope it works out for you that he does the right thing.

He wants to convince me that it is a very thin crack that will not appear with granite glue! I will hold my ground...

@Ahmed Sousa That's fair enough, but not so good. You should try negotiate with the contractor. Though, you can glue granite together. ... Gluing two pieces of granite together requires the right glue for the task at hand. So, selecting the proper glue for bonding granite to granite is key.

Hit it with some black Sharpie and see what it looks like please. The adhesive used is critical; if he used polyester, it won't last a year.
