A very windy location

Some months ago, I asked about a wind-blown tree, LINK.

I thought I would share a pic of a holly, Ilex aquifolium, I found on Kaynance Heath, on the Lizard Peninsular, on the S coast of Cornwall. I failed to get the point of exit from the ground, but the trunk was bent at right angles and it hadn't been blown over.

This area is the only area in UK where the Cornish Heath (Erica vagans), is to be found. i wasn't expecting to find it was the dominant plant.
