Hi! :) Let me first start off by saying that I live in sunny Southern California, where it is hot until November and Christmases are even usually sunny and warm! >_< No snowy White Christmases for this gal. Sooo, I got two Caladium bulbs for practically free: Candidum and Pink Symphony. My plan was to keep them strictly as indoor plants, to plant them each in a 4" pot with fresh Aroid potting soil about an inch down and just see what happens, and if they don't grow then to just keep them there (in a warm, sunny window sill) until Spring. I know they usually start going dormant in the Fall; do you think I'll see any growth this year? I have a LOT of beautiful Alocasias that just kind of chill all winter, keep their leaves, and then grow a bunch in the spring and summer - should I treat the Caladiums the way I do my other Aroids? I was also hoping to get any other advice on how to care for dormant bulbs. How much to water and fertilize, if I can just leave them in their pots in the window sill until spring, etc.Thank you So so much!
