Need help - craftsman-style door trim

We are in the process of replacing all our interior 6 panel doors with one panel shaker style doors. We need some advice how to handle an angled hallway with 3 doors, 2 very close together. It’s second door that has become a thorn in our side. I have attached pics.

Here are what we believe our choices are (and we would appreciate ideas):

Angle cut the 3 1/2” trim on the left side to account for the diagonal wall and have valance and top piece stop flush at that same width to where there is no overhang. If so, would we proceed with the normal trim plan on the right side of that valance or do we match it to the left and have no overhang.
Do we fir out the jam about a half inch which would allow the trim work to match all three of the doors but might look “thick” or at minimum different then the other doors.

If we did fir out the door, would running the valance together for the two first doors be an option?

This does not address your question, but I'll make a suggestion.

Lots of ways to trim out doors, and I'm not suggesting these specific moldings, but note how the head casing (your valance), aligns with the side casing and there is a fillet separating the head and side casing.

As an alternate, consider a thicker head piece that overhangs the side casing and extends past it a bit less than what you have now.

This shows a shorter head casing of 4 1/4". Proportions are important and using other than standard materials -- 1x4, 1x6 etc will often result in a better look.

For your question, take a foot or so of material and install it with the back cut casing and see how it looks.

Any chance of moving the door?

Thanks so much PPF. for responding. I appreciate the feedback on the trim detail and agree. Moving the door really isn’t an option. We plan to proceed by having a continuous valance and fully trim the two doors similar to this photo. Thank you again for your help!
