Calamondin inside grow room

Very hardy and productive variety, although from now on I will thin fruits. I find them good cut and squeezed in a glass of water

yes that's Brooklyn. That was Home depot near Hamilton avenue in Brooklyn. Every Spring they carry all sorts of stuff you wouldn't expect them to, especially early. There is an Electrical supply on 36th Street near 4thj Avenue in Brooklyn, The Asian owners have an impressive set of all kinds of potted and in ground Kumquat trees. I really should take a picture one day......impressive green thumb

I'd have to check the tag, but by memory I've had it at least 2 years. It's not seed grown.

I checked the tag, I got tree in 6/2019 from home depot of all places, definitely an impulse buy. If I remember correctly I also picked up an unnamed navel orange at the same time. I have yet to grow an orange. It has bloomed and held some fruit (I Thought one for sure was gonna keep due to its size) but none to date.......patience is a virtue

What home depot? I'm on the queens Nassau border and have never seen citrus for sale at home Depot, may have to take a ride to BK next spring!

Nice calamondin there! I picked one up at HD too in 2019 too, here in NC. They didn't have any for sale this year. I do the same as you with the fruit, squeeze them in a glass of water. Very refreshing!

Hey Ken, you can actually buy calamondin and kumquats are many asian florist or supermarkets in any of the chinatowns in nyc. they are very common decor, especially in restaurants. I’ve seen 6 foot trees for sale on the sidewalk before near 8th ave brooklyn
