Indoor/outdoor carpets come in a wide variety of colors and patterns. They can handle anything you track in and clean up easily. Lots of online carpet retailers plus Overstock, Wayfair and Home Depot. Polypropylene carpets have similar durability and clean up but not specifically marketed as indoor/outdoor. I have both in high traffic entryways.

I'd look for a good quality rug in a smaller size that fits parallel to the door and ends at the corner wall. I've always used wool rugs at entries and you can find great ones for good prices on Overstock. A kilim rug would give you a boho look.

I recently got this rug in gold, and thought of the black one when I saw your photo and that you like boho. It’s an indoor/outdoor rug, but soft. I love mine.

I’m not sure about sizing, though, for your entry.
