Package Heat Pump: What do these values tell me?

I have an Amana PD24C02 package heat pump which was installed about 2005. Though it has been exceptionally reliable, I plan to replace it as it has a slow refrigerant leak. It's so-called "Delta-T" is only about 5 or 6 degrees so it has to run a lot to cool the house.

Question: An HVAC service man reported the following values for the heat pump. Would somebody explain what these values tell me about the unit's condition (assuming they have meaning without other data)?

  • Ambient Temperature: 73 (yes, I know what that means)
  • Suction Line PSIG: 60; Suction Line Temperature: 73
  • Liquid Line PSIG: 245; Liquid Line Temperature: 164
