Just bought a house that’s stuck in the 90s. My husband is insistent on SLOWLY furnishing and remodeling (spent too much on the house I guess). First order of business, we had the interior painted (Sherwin Williams accessible beige). This couch is the only thing I’ve purchased so far. Not crazy about the pillows, I’ll probably buy some covers for half of them. But it’s super comfy and deep and can fit 10 people easily. My problem is I don’t know how to place my rug as well as, I don’t know what other furniture (besides a coffee table obviously) I should put in this room. It’s a big room with very high ceilings, and the very large openings to the sunroom/tv room (which is a whole other big problem area) make it difficult. That tiny side table is just there for now so we have a place to sit a drink. The big blank wall has me stumped as well. (Don’t come at me about the ugly tile or the massive tv the previous owner left… I know it’s awful.) The mirror and faux plants on the mantle are just place holders until I can get my aesthetic pinned down. Not sure what it is yet. LOL!
