I opted not to have an outdoor sink when we installed our outdoor kitchen 5 or 6 years ago. I have not regretted the decision even once.

We intalled a simple outdoor BBQ area this past January. A natural gas grill, shelf for BGE & some underneath storage. No sink/fridge as our kitchen is just a few steps away. No regrets regarding the sink. A fridge would have been a nice luxury for overflow beverages but definitely not a necessity. We are very happy with the Lynx Grill that was installed.

The top is leathered Steel Grey granite- super dense, not sealed and pretty impervious to anything we have spilled. We are in Florida so no snow/freeze issues.

If you install the grill cabinet on top of a cement pad you will save $ on the reclaimed brick & install of same. No need to set it on brick as you won't see it. Ours was installed adjacent to a raised brick porch and we just poured the pad to the same level as the porch.

Only error we made is the shelf that the Egg sits on should be tilted slightly so any rainwater that falls back there can drain off.

Otherwise very happy with "kitchen". The natural gas line is a game changer- no more empty propane tanks in the middle of a cookout.
